University College “CEPS – Center for Business Studies” Kiseljak (CEPS https://www.ceps.edu.ba/Default) is a private higher education and scientific institution in Bosnia and Herzegovina, operating in accordance with the Bologna process and delivering first-cycle (Bachelor) study programmes. CEPS offers multidisciplinary programmes directly relevant to higher education capacity building, digitalisation, sustainability, governance, justice, public administration, and social systems, including Occupational Safety and Fire Protection, Security Studies (Criminalistics), Health Studies, Information Technology, Traffic and Transport Engineering, Business Economy, Energy (renewable energy, energy management and efficiency), and Law (https://en.ceps.edu.ba/Studiji.aspx; https://en.ceps.edu.ba/pravne-nauke.aspx).
CEPS places strong emphasis on digital transformation and green skills, integrating digitalisation, sustainability, and innovation into teaching, research, and lifelong learning. These priorities are embedded in the CEPS Development Strategy (2024–2029) and the Climate Action Plan (2024–2029), which aim to strengthen curriculum quality, student-centred learning, internationalization (https://www.ceps.edu.ba/Files/2025/2304/Strategija_INTERNACIONALIZACIJE_CEPS
_2024-2029.pdf), informatization, and environmental responsibility. CEPS actively contributes to capacity building through Erasmus+ mobility, international projects, and cooperation with public institutions, industry, and civil society.

The institution is an accredited higher education institution and successfully completed its third reaccreditation process in November 2025, confirming compliance with national and European quality assurance standards.CEPS has developed a solid digital infrastructure, including its own integrated information system for students and staff, hybrid and online teaching tools, and a functional digital research infrastructure supporting teaching, research, and administrative processes. These capacities enable flexible learning models, digital collaboration, and efficient institutional management (https://www.ceps.edu.ba/centar-za-klimu-i-odrzivost).
The institution employs around 80 academic and administrative staff and educates approximately 2,000 students. Its campus (5,800 m²) includes 28 classrooms, 7 specialised practical laboratories/cabinets, and an amphitheatre, designed with energy-efficient systems and renewable energy solutions, supporting sustainability-oriented education and applied learning.
Academic and managerial staff have extensive experience in research and project implementation, starting from the Director and senior management, with active participation in national and international research, development, and capacity-building initiatives. The institution also publishes its own peer-reviewed scientific journal, Social and Technical Sciences (https://www.ceps.edu.ba/DIT), which has been issued regularly since 2015 with two issues per year. In addition, since 2022 CEPS has published conference proceedings from international student conferences, covering topics such as sustainability, green perspectives, and digitalization (https://www.ceps.edu.ba/Knjiznica).
CEPS maintains strong and long-standing cooperation with public-sector institutions, including ministries, law-related institutions, police sectors, and other relevant public bodies, which enables effective knowledge transfer, policy-relevant research, and practical engagement. Furthermore, CEPS has the capacity to reach a wide range of target groups, including chambers of commerce, NGOs, professionals, civil servants, and local authorities, ensuring broad dissemination, stakeholder involvement, and societal impact (https://en.ceps.edu.ba/Medunarodna_suradnja.aspx).
In 2024, CEPS established the Knowledge Hub for Climate and Sustainability (KHCS), a key centre supporting interdisciplinary research, education, community engagement, and policy-oriented activities related to climate action, sustainability, resilience, and green transition. CEPS is an Erasmus Charter for Higher Education holder (https://www.ceps.edu.ba/Files/PDF/ceps_povelja_2023.pdf?v=1), has over 280 international cooperation agreements, and has implemented over 460 Erasmus+ mobilities since 2015. It is currently a partner in several Erasmus+ Capacity Building projects https://www.ceps.edu.ba/Projekti (1FUTURE, GROWTH, RES-UNI, CORE-ED ACADEMY, SEE-GL, SKILL2SUSTAIN, IMPACT CAMPUS, CANDOR), contributing to governance reform, digitalisation, sustainability, and institutional strengthening in the Western Balkans.
